Each year, approximately $13 billion in wholesale charges flow through the market. The IESO operates the market efficiently and effectively, providing market participants with value for money. As a result of ongoing fiscal prudence, the IESO has been able to reduce its administrative fee for 2006 and provide a rebate to its customers, equalling nine per cent of its 2005 usage fees.

The IESO posts its quarterly and annual financial statements, detailing revenues and expenses. These reports form part of the IESO’s annual fee submission to the OEB, where the IESO administration charge is determined.
