Market Calendars - Holiday Schedule

The IESO publishes a number of calendars, which highlight key settlement and payment dates, crucial submission deadlines and release schedules for critical technical documentation. Below is a listing of Physical and Financial Market holidays. If a holiday happens to fall on a weekday, any associated payments and/or forms are due – or will be published – the next business day.

*The holiday schedule used to calculate transmission charges differs from the schedule for Physical and Financial Market settlements. Effective November 1, 2007, the holidays recognized by the IESO for the purposes of calculating transmission charges do not include Easter Monday and Remembrance Day.

For Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) with residential and small business customers paying time-of-use (TOU) rates, a different holiday schedule may apply. Please visit the Time-of-Use Holiday Calendar for further information.
