Market Rules and Market Design

Updated IESO Reliability Compliance Program Schedule Now Available

The IESO Reliability Compliance Program (IRCP) schedule has undergone several changes which include:

-  For distributors, connected wholesale customers, and transmitters: revised self-certification Form 1518 and new survey Form 1719 for Directory #12 Underfrequency Load Shedding Program Requirements are now available
-  For generators: new survey Form 1718 is now available to report generator underfrequency trip settings (there is no longer a requirement to self-certify using Form 1519)
-  Target submission date for Form 1518, 1719 and 1718 is August 16, 2010

The IRCP schedule is available at: http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/ircp/ircp_templatesSchedule-2010.asp . The changes are summarized on the "History of Changes" tab of the spreadsheet.

The annual IRCP schedule sets out the required reliability compliance submissions for each class of market participant.

For questions or comments, email the IESO Reliability and Compliance group at: ircp@ieso.ca.

Stakeholder Engagement
Reminder: Feedback Requested on Draft Prudential Review Report

The IESO has reviewed the prudential framework in place to manage credit risk to the IESO administered markets and has concluded that the existing framework meets its objectives.  This review is available and Market Participants are asked to provide comments on the IESO's assessment (http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/pubs/consult/se88/se88-20100629-2010_Preliminary_Prudential_Review%20Report.pdf). For more details, see stakeholder engagement initiative SE-88: Prudential Review 2010 (http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/consult/consult_se88.asp).

The IESO undertook a comprehensive review of the prudential framework in 2007 (see SE- 23:  Prudential Review) with several changes being adopted including a requirement to review the prudential framework at least once every three years.

Please provide your written feedback on the report by July 20, 2010 to stakeholder.engagement@ieso.ca. All comments received will be posted on the public web site. The IESO will respond to all submissions.
