News and Notices

A key part of the IESO's mandate is to ensure that market participants, interested stakeholders and the general public are informed of key issues and activities central to the evolution and operation of Ontario's wholesale electricity market.

All IESO email communications since the market opened in 2002 are catalogued on this page. Communications are organized into several main subject areas accessible through the drop down list below. IESO Technical System Outage Notifications and Reviewed/Administered Pricing Events are new subject areas included that were previously stored in the Calendars and Notices section.

The IESO publishes a weekly report that is sent to market participants and all public distribution lists each Thursday. Several communications are combined into the weekly report that summarizes current and upcoming IESO activities. In addition to the weekly report, urgent or time-sensitive communications are delivered on an as-needed basis and sent to the appropriate contact lists.
