Ontario Electricity RFPsIn support of the Ontario Power Authority's (OPA) electricity generation capacity and demand-side management request for proposals (RFP), as well as the Ontario Electricity Renewables RFP process, the IESO has created this site as a convenient location for information on making a new or modified connection to the IESO-controlled grid or distribution systems in Ontario. Also provided is information on how to become a participant in the IESO-administered markets. The OPA's Generation Procurement Website is the main source for all information pertaining to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new generation in the province of Ontario. Participants wanting to apply through the RFP process where an agreement with the IESO is required must submit a complete
SIA (System Impact Assessment) application approximately 45 calendar days before the RFP due date.
